avor Herceg was born and studied in Zagreb. After his studies, he worked at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, where he started to compose music for ballet perfomances ("Prasak" and "Tko je ugasio svijetlo").
In 2000, he was invited by a Slovene theatre director Jaka Ivanc to compose music for his play "Katka in Bunkec" at the Koper Theatre. Since then he has lived and worked in Slovenia. Together with a sound designer Saso Kalan he owns a music studio Sonolab.
